Christmas Day

This morning the kids got up at 3:00 am! They came running into our room saying "they ate the food". I was like that's nice now go back to bed. Thankfully they said ok and went. They tried this again at 8:30 am and were successful. We all got up and ran downstairs to see what had been left. This year the kids got 3 gift each and 1 gift from Santa. This year we also had the kids open their presents one at a time, so we could all see what everyone got and so nothing got lost in all the wrapping paper that goes flying. They did so well with this! I think the biggest hits were the MP3 players the boys got and Santa brought everyone a new camera.

While all the kids were playing with their new toys I went to prepare breakfast. We ate on special Christmas plates and had fancy cups to drink from. All the kids even sat at the table! It is hard for Brendyn to sit at the table do to the noise level. We sat around the table and talked about what Christmas was really about.. the birth of Jesus. WE also talked about what was our favorite part of Christmas this year and they all said the same thing, being able to stay at home. We were also sad that we didn't get to go to my parents like we do every year but this year we decided as a family to stay home.

After breakfast it was back to playing for the kids and cleaning for me. When I was done we played games and watched Alyssa's new movie The Hannah Montana Movie. After that we all got ready to go to Amy's house.

Around 3 we went to Amy and Anthony's house to spend a little time with them. Amy and Stacy were our first foster placement we had. They are both own their own and doing well. Amy and Anthony have a little boy named Anthony jr. but they call him little Anthony(he will be 2 in feb). Stacy also came over and brought her two kids Naoina(17 months) and Duran (3.5 months). I am so excited because they have asked me to be their kids grandma!! So the kids now call me mema. It is sooo cute.

After a couple hours we decided to go out to dinner. This is something I have never done on Christmas. James took us to a place called Georges. It was good and there was hardly anyone there so that was nice. After dinner James surprised the kids by taking them to see the new chipmunk movie. It was Packed!!! I couldn't believe it. They say that Christmas is the busiest day of the year. The movie was cute and the kids had a great time. It turned out to be a wonderful day for our family. We weren't rushed and had no specific plans, just did what felt right at the time.

I hope that everyone else had a wonderful Christmas like our family did. And remember to take a few minutes to remember what it is all about.....JESUS!
